Rooted in Kirinyaga East's red soils

Founded in 1954, Kabare FCS is the Union’s second-largest society by membership, with 17,540 farmers in Kirinyaga East. Ten factories — from Kiringa and Konyu through to Kiamiciri — collect and wash their cherry. Certified under Fairtrade and C.A.F.E. Practices, Kabare produced 231.8 tonnes of clean coffee in 2025/26.
