Mutira FCS has served Kirinyaga Central since 1954 and today represents 7,220 smallholder members. Seven factories, Kagumo through Kiamutuira, handle cherry from its high to medium altitude gardens. It is the Union’s most broadly certified society — Fairtrade, C.A.F.E. Practices and Rainforest Alliance — and produced 248.5 tonnes of clean coffee in 2025/26.
