Rooted in Kirinyaga West's red soils

Mwirua FCS was registered in 1954 and brings together 8,109 farmers in Kirinyaga West. Eight of its nine factories deliver to the Union mill, collecting cherry from gardens lying between 1,500 and 1,800 m. Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance certified, Mwirua delivered 454.8 tonnes of clean coffee in 2025/26 — the second-largest volume in the Union.
